Wedding Dress at the 2009 Oscar's Red Carpet

OMG! I really love Penelope's gown on the Red Carpet...FOR a Bridal Gown. It's an ivory vintage chiffon gown by Pierre Balmain.

And a Hair style looking like Audrey Hepburn, with that classic look, Penelope looks stunning!

Inspiration Board - IVORY & ELEGANT

Here is another one... adding up to my collection of new inspiration boards.

I searched and googled for images (and there are really plenty pretty ones out there) which is the easiest part of it... and guess what's the hardest part... no, not the copying & pasting! It's the process of elimination! I could only use few photos at a time...(sigh).

Invitations - What's New? What's Old? What's Blue?

Are you traditional, contemporary or parisian? Take your pick...

I just love seeing wedding invitations with ribbons and rhinestones around them. It always give you that sense of personal touch plus of course that elegance.

This could be a DIY project...not from the scratch...after you order those invitations from your vendor, you may want to go to your favorite craft store and purchase ribbons by the yards and while you're there look for rhinestones along the jewelry aisle. And not to forget! A double tape will always come in handy.

Inspiration Board - BLACK Damask & RETRO

For a start, Black White and Damask Inspiration board...

Spent Sunday morning with my laptop, looking around and reading most of the wedding blogs out there and what did I find, 'same' inspiration boards which are being used over and over and over again. So I thought, I'll make a new one!

There goes the rest of my day.

Cupcakes - Something New

I found this very talented lady (on the other side of the globe) who loves creating cupcakes and not simply cupcakes they're masterpieces! Her name is Kylie Lambert of 'Le Cupcake'. ALL THESE CUPCAKES are all her creations, very versatile indeed. Love, love love love them! You will have to think twice if you like the old traditional tiered cakes, at least I did! and I'd like to get married again (to the same man of course).

'D' Dress - Something New

Ladies, who comes to mind right after that "unexpected" or that "long overdue" marriage proposal?
No! Not your Mom!....Really?

My guess was Amsale /
Vera Wang. Let's be visual...here are some of my faves 'D' Dress from their galleries. With Amsale's designs I like the back details. With Vera Wang's, I Iike the elegant fabrics she's fond of using.

"To add or not to add?"

Still full of anticipation and excitement about launching the TWM website... I think, hard work will pay off. Thanks to my very supported and talented husband (love of my life!) who put my ideas all together and organized them all in one space TheWeddingMainSt and to my two gorgeous sons, who always disturb me and inspire me (not necessarily in that order), I love you guys!

So, it's decided...add a Blog to the website.

For this first EVER blog post, I would just like to say what the site will offer its guests, as tradition
dictates, "Something NEW", "Something OLD", "Something BORROWED" and "Something BLUE."

Welcome!
